IAM Application Onboarding Engineer (IGA)

About the Role

Our client, a leading player in the high-tech industry, is looking for an IAM Application Onboarding Engineer with strong consultancy skills to join one of their Agile teams. The focus of this role lies in onboarding applications to their Identity & Access Management (IAM) ecosystem, specifically for Authorization and Authentication purposes. This includes working with SailPoint (IGA) and Okta (Authentication) platforms.

This team operates in a DevOps environment, meaning the engineer will also handle incidents and standard requests related to onboarding. The work includes both technical configuration and stakeholder interaction to support application owners in connecting their solutions to standardized IAM services.

Key Responsibilities

• Validate and implement functional and non-functional requirements for application onboarding within IAM frameworks and enterprise standards.

• Conduct intakes with application owners to assess onboarding requirements and align with standardized patterns; if not standard, determine necessary steps or propose repeatable patterns.

• Configure technical onboarding in SailPoint, adhering to IAM architecture and strategic direction.

• Manage end-to-end onboarding, from intake to delivery and acceptance.

• Contribute to standardization and automation efforts.

• Actively participate in Scrum and SAFe Agile ceremonies.

• Coordinate and validate implementations to ensure alignment with specifications.

Requirements

• Strong communication and consultancy skills, particularly in stakeholder engagement and translating requirements.

• Ability to identify or propose new standard onboarding patterns and promote existing ones.

• Solid understanding of IAM, authorization management, and cybersecurity best practices.

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Identity & Access Management.

• Minimum 1 year of experience with IGA tooling (preferably SailPoint), with focus on application onboarding.

• Familiarity with entitlement and authorization management processes.

Nice to Have

• Scripting or programming experience (e.g. Java, BeanShell, JavaScript).

• Experience integrating SailPoint with systems like LDAP, REST/SOAP APIs, SCIM, databases, SaaS (e.g. Okta), Workday, SAP.

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Azure, Linux environments.

• Experience working in Agile/DevOps teams.
