Your role:

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will take a leading role in designing and building scalable, high-performance systems that power smart, connected devices. You’ll work on a modern tech stack and contribute to both new product development and the continuous improvement of existing solutions.

Your work directly impacts how customers design, configure, test, and interact with intelligent hardware systems.

What you’ll be working on:

• Backend services using .NET Core (C#).
• RESTful API design and development.
• Integration with messaging systems such as MQTT.
• Collaboration on frontend applications built in ReactJS.
• Desktop applications (Windows, .NET Core).

• Take ownership of backend architecture and technical decisions.
• Design and develop scalable, maintainable, and high-performing systems.
• Evaluate system performance, capacity, and scalability trade-offs.
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers and cross-functional teams.
• Improve and professionalize existing web-based applications.
• Contribute to a strong team culture and Agile way of working.
• Ensure high software quality by designing for testability.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar.
• 6+ years of experience in backend software development.
• Strong expertise in C# and .NET Core.
• Solid experience with REST APIs and relational databases.
• Knowledge of authentication protocols (OAuth / OpenID).
• Experience with system performance and scalability.
• Familiarity with Git and Agile working environments.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Fluent in English.

Nice to have:

• Experience with MQTT or similar messaging systems.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g. NUnit).
• Familiarity with API tools like Swagger or Postman.
• Experience with DORA metrics and engineering improvements.
• Affinity with low-level programming or firmware.
• Experience documenting architecture decisions (ADRs).
