Data Governance Manager

Purpose of the Role:

Provide specialist Data Governance support to Legal & Compliance and the Chief Data Office, in line with clients standards, policies and governance principles. The role acts as a connecting link between Legal & Compliance, the business, management, Data Management, Analytics and IT, and supports the planning and delivery of analytics for which the relevant data is largely owned outside Legal & Compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for Legal & Compliance Analytics.
• Plan analytics delivery for Legal & Compliance and coordinate data-related matters involving multiple parts of the organization.
• Navigate ASML’s complex data landscape to identify and obtain the required data and data sources, including situations where Trusted Data Sets are not available.
• Coordinate with Data Management, Analytics, IT and business stakeholders within the applicable data governance framework.
• Document the data sources, assumptions, limitations and governance constraints used in analytics.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements and vice versa, and support senior stakeholders in decision-making and building support.
• Plan and support the mandatory Third Party Risk Management initiative, including missing third-party data in SAP MDG and the additional data attributes required.
• Apply agreed design principles to work towards a golden record for third-party data and support engagement to obtain buy-in for the required investment.
• Contribute to roadmaps, quarterly planning and periodic meetings, and report on progress, findings and identified risks.

Knowledge, Experience and Soft Skills:

• Experience in Data Governance, Data Management and analytics within a complex enterprise environment.
• Knowledge of data governance principles, data architecture, data platforms, and the identification and assessment of data sources.
• Experience in documenting data sources, assumptions, limitations and governance constraints.
• Knowledge of or experience with third-party data, SAP MDG, additional data attributes and golden-record principles.
• Ability to work within established standards, policies and governance frameworks.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to connect Legal & Compliance, business, management and technical teams.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak the language of both business and technology.
• Proactive, service-oriented and skilled at networking, with the ability to connect the right people and expertise.
• Patient and persistent, with the ability to build support and bring different interests together.
