The Role

The DevOps Automation Expert (Windows Focus) will be part of the Automation Services team, responsible for designing, developing, and delivering automation solutions tailored to the needs of IT teams and departments. With broad IT knowledge and expertise, this role will automate a wide range of IT components, including Windows OS, virtualization, networking, and storage.

Leveraging tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, Python, and CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, the DevOps Automation Expert will help reduce operational workloads across the organization. This role plays a key part in achieving zero-downtime operations, enabling self-service functionality, and building self-healing platforms. Through intelligent automation, the role empowers teams to deploy and manage their infrastructure efficiently, ensuring reliability and scalability.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze, design, and implement automation solutions for IT environments.

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab to enable seamless integration and deployment of automation processes.

• Write and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell. Experience with Python, batch scripting, and other scripting languages is a plus.

• Collaborate with IT teams to identify opportunities for automation and drive continuous process improvements.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation tools and workflows.

• Document and share best practices to facilitate the adoption and scaling of automation solutions across teams.

• Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in automation and DevOps, recommending improvements as needed.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT or a related field, with at least 7 years of relevant experience.

• Broad IT knowledge, including Windows OS, virtualization, and Active Directory.

• Strong experience with PowerShell.

• Experience with Python is a plus.

• Proficiency with automation tools such as Ansible.

• Strong experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably in GitLab.

• Solid understanding of Agile principles and DevOps practices.

• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools and methodologies.

• A problem-solving mindset with the ability to proactively identify and address challenges.

• Fluent in English, with strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Based in the Netherlands, with the ability to travel to the Eindhoven High Tech Campus.
