Data, AI, and digital transformation play a key role in the company’s strategic direction. To ensure AI is applied in a responsible, secure, and compliant way, the organization is further developing its AI Governance program, balancing innovation and business value with ethical, legal, and regulatory risk management.

The role

As an AI Governance Specialist, you will join the central Data & AI Governance team and contribute to the development, implementation, and improvement of governance processes, policies, standards, and best practices around the responsible use of AI.

You will operate at the intersection of technology, business, legal, and compliance. In this role, you will support the Data & AI Governance Lead and collaborate with international stakeholders, including AI Centers of Expertise, central technology and IT teams, Legal, and Government Affairs.

The role can be based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, or Toulouse, France.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement AI governance frameworks, policies, standards, and best practices
  • Support the design and improvement of processes related to responsible AI, AI compliance, and AI risk management
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify ethical, legal, reputational, and compliance risks related to AI use
  • Monitor relevant AI regulations, guidelines, and compliance requirements
  • Translate regulatory developments into practical governance processes and controls
  • Collaborate with business, technology, legal, and compliance stakeholders across the organization
  • Promote awareness and adoption of responsible AI practices
  • Help establish mechanisms that balance AI value creation with risk mitigation
  • Contribute to the further professionalization of the global AI Governance program

Your profile

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Law, Data, Business Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 10–15 years of relevant experience in industry, consulting, or an international corporate environment
  • Strong understanding of AI ethics, bias, transparency, responsible AI, and AI regulatory frameworks
  • Experience with governance, compliance, risk management, or process improvement
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and guidelines related to AI, data, privacy, and security
  • Strong analytical skills and solid experience in process definition and improvement
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Able to translate complex concepts into clear policies, processes, and practical guidelines
  • Technology-savvy, curious, and eager to stay up to date with new developments
  • Reliable, accountable, proactive, structured, and autonomous
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and comfortable working in international and remote teams
